Using the Markets Workbench
Charts, indicators, and chart-aware AI conversation in one place.
The Markets workbench is where you spend most of your time in CoTrading. It brings together candlestick charts, technical indicators, and a chart-aware AI conversation so analysis and discussion happen side by side.
Charts
Load any symbol you follow and view it as candlesticks across the timeframes you care about. The chart is the shared context for everything else on the workbench — including what the AI sees when you ask it a question.
Technical indicators
CoTrading ships the indicators most traders actually use:
- BOLL (Bollinger Bands) — volatility and mean-reversion context.
- MACD — momentum and trend-change signals.
- KDJ — overbought/oversold stochastic read.
- Fibonacci retracement — structural levels for entries, stops, and targets.
Add the ones that fit your method and leave the chart uncluttered. Indicators are inputs to a decision, not the decision itself.
Chart-aware AI conversation
The side panel hosts an AI chat that reads the same chart context you are looking at. Because it sees the symbol, timeframe, and indicators on screen, you can ask grounded questions:
- "What's the structure on this timeframe?"
- "Where are the nearest support and resistance levels?"
- "Does the MACD agree with the recent move?"
The AI reasons from the visible data and explains its thinking. Crucially, it can analyze and propose — but it cannot place orders. Anything actionable arrives as a trade plan card you review and approve.
Analysis, not autopilot
The AI conversation is there to sharpen your read, not to replace it. Use it to pressure-test your own thesis — ask it what would invalidate the setup.
A practical workflow
- Open the symbol and set your timeframe.
- Add the indicators your method relies on.
- Form your own read first.
- Ask the AI to analyze the same chart and compare its view to yours.
- If you want a setup, request a trade plan card.
- Review the card's direction, entry, stop, size, and rationale.
- Approve or reject — with the deterministic risk layer as a backstop.
Keep it local
Everything on the workbench runs on your machine. The chart data, your indicator settings, and the conversation context stay local; your keys are never uploaded and never logged.
Trading involves risk. Indicators and AI analysis inform decisions but do not guarantee outcomes. CoTrading is a decision-support tool, not investment advice.
